How did I get here?
At an early age, photography opened the door to capturing what I was feeling and how I was seeing the world around me. Taking photographs helped me express myself to others. It allowed me to think creatively and, dare I say, to tell a story in a snapshot. There was composition to control, colors to manipulate, and lines to emphasize.
Drawing, printmaking, and sculpting stuck in my routine soon after the start of my art education. I believe my inability to settle down to one medium so far comes from the inspiration of the concept itself. In the end, I want to tell a story. It could be mine, another’s, or fiction.

Where is it going?
This leads to my next exploration of writing. It’s been such a challenge to put my thoughts down into a story that is somewhat coherent, interesting, and has proper grammar. It’s exciting and physical to read my words all strung together like the novels I love to read.
Undoubtedly, humans love to connect and share. It’s in our blood to be social, however awkward it may be, and art ultimately functions as a way to relate and express ourselves. I hope to never stop creating. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
Thank you for sharing it with me.
