    Thank you, Fairhope!

On a warm, sunny Saturday, I drove over to Fairhope with my husband, Cooper, to set up at Page & Palette for the afternoon. It’s a nice drive through country roads and fast highways. You end up zig-zagging through quaint neighborhood roads until you reach the busier downtown area where Page & Palette is located, along with some of our favorites stores like Doctor Music, The Book Inn Inc., or Cat’s Meow.

I have to start off with praise for the hospitality and ease of Page and Palette. I was nervous about scheduling a book signing there because they are always so busy! It’s a good problem to have, but I was sure I would not be able to get a spot. (My inner doubt nagging at me!) However, they were very helpful after I inquired online about the process and emailed me everything to get the date set.

They had a table waiting and signs set up on display. I was able to decorate it however needed. For selling copies of the book, they handled it at the register, which was a nice change of pace to not have to worry about that part. The time flew by talking and visiting with people. Friends and family filtered in throughout the evening, making this event so much more special. Everyone who stopped by was abundantly supportive and nice. I am so thankful for everyone who got a copy of Cold Magnolia for themselves or brought theirs for me to sign.

I continue to learn more about the readers interested in my novel and how to improve at marketing as an independent author every time at these events, so I cannot wait until the next one. <3

Maybe I’ll see you at the Idle Reader Bookstore in September!

    PensaPride: That’s a wrap!

This past Saturday, I was able to join the wonderful day festival celebrating pride in my hometown, Pensacola, called PensaPride! My partner and I woke up early and got everything set up by 9 am on June 13th, 2026, at the Interstate Fairgrounds, and prepared for the crowds at 10 am.

It was not a slow start to the day. It felt like there was a constant stream of people browsing until about 4:30 pm. Even with the barely working AC and humid air, people came out and chatted with us. I was honored to snag a spot at this fun and supportive event honoring the LGBTQ+ community in our local area.

My vendor neighbors, @the.art.druid and Sevy (Ah, I’m sorry if I am spelling your name wrong!), were so nice and respectful. They were selling amazing art and handcrafted goodies. My niece got a cute, crochet frog fidget from Sevy and their family. They were a lifesaver with the snacks, too! I will definitely be more prepared next time for the heat. More fans, food, and water.

Overall, this was a pretty successful event for my novel! It’s always uplifting to hear how the story interests others, so thank to everyone who purchased your own copy and followed me on Instagram.

I appreciated everyone who asked me about my book and painted in my ‘paint with me’ Cold Magnolia canvas. I discover new ways of keeping engagement with my (potential) readers every time at these events, so I’m excited for what may come next at my Page and Palette book signing in Fairhope, AL.

Again, thank you to everyone who has been so positive and thoughtful while visiting me. I truly can’t wait to hear more feedback from readers and hope to see y’all again soon.
